Sime Darby Utilities aims to establish a strong portfolio of investments in the utilities and infrastructure sector. Its current investments include a bulk cargo port, as well as a water treatment business in the Shandong Province in China. Moving forward, it is focused on expanding this portfolio to the various regions where Sime Darby has business presence.

In Malaysia, it is currently reviewing a number of infrastructure investment opportunities emerging from the growth plans targeted under the 9th Malaysian Plan and other development corridors such as the Northern Corridor Economic Region.
